Community Fredericks Foundation Budgens Lightwater are proud to nominate Fredericks Foundation as their chosen charity. This association was begun with a donation of £200 presented at one of their regular meetings. http://www.fredericksfoundation.org Fayre in the Square The second event of 2007 held in the square outside Budgens and organised in association with the Lightwater Business Association. there have been three events this year under the banner of Fayre in the Square. They were food in the square, the craft fayre and Christmas fayre. All are organised and supported with help from Budgens and all monies raised go toward the village flowers and Christmas lights. Here's to many more event in the future! Mike donates a new projector to Hammond school Strengthening the long-standing relationships that Mike has with Hammond school he donated a Dell Data Projector worth £1000 to the children. Every term Budgens donates £100 to the Hammond primary school to provide awards for effort and achievement or equipment and, in return the children's artwork is displayed in the store for the customenrs to see and to brighten the walls! Mike decided that not only had he wanted to make this generous gift of the projector but that he will also stand as governor for the school, underlining the commitment he has to the unique relationship the school shares with the supermarket. Lightwater Business Association and Budgens supporting our community Floral displays along the high street are the most evident way in which the Association contributes toward the local community. During the course of the year the LBA organises several events, hosted in the square outside Budgens, to raise money not only for the hanging baskets seen in the village, but also for the Christmas lights and for donations to the Mayor's Charity. Valley End Church of England Infant School Budgens donated mince pies to the Friends of valley End who organised the event. Windlesham Village Infant School A Raffle Prize was donated by the store to help raise money for the Infants School. Lightwater Darby & Jones Club For the annual Christmas Bazzar, Budgens donated a raffle prize for their prize draw. Windlesham Field Of Remembrance The store donated the doughnuts for the 'dangling doughnut stall' to help raise money for the new play area in the village. Halloween Party Our bakers went into overdrive for the childrens Halloween Party held to raise money for the new play area in the village.
